Subsea Epoxy Coating for Pile and Structure Corrosion Protection

What is Epoxy Coating?

Marine-grade two-part epoxy coating applied to submerged pile and structure surfaces by trained commercial divers — providing a hard, chemically resistant barrier against seawater corrosion and biological attack.

What's Included

  • Surface preparation — mechanical cleaning, hydro-jetting, or grit blasting to specified standard
  • Primer coat application (where specified)
  • Two-part epoxy mixing and application — brush or roller
  • Wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT) monitoring
  • Holiday detection and repair
  • Photographic record and coating inspection report

Why This Matters

Epoxy coating provides a cost-effective first line of defence for steel and concrete piles in moderate corrosion environments, and is frequently specified as the base layer in multi-system protection schemes alongside cathodic protection or HDPE wrapping.
