What is GRP Encapsulation Jacket?

KCC installs pre-formed glass reinforced plastic (GRP) encapsulation jackets around deteriorated pile sections — filled with specialist grout to restore section and provide a durable, long-life protection system. GRP jackets are the most effective method for protecting and restoring severely deteriorated piles without dry-docking.

What's Included

Diver inspection and measurement of pile to determine jacket dimensions
Procurement or fabrication of GRP jacket sections to pile profile
Diver-assisted installation of GRP jacket around pile
Injection of specialist grout to fill annular space between jacket and pile
Sealing of jacket top and bottom
Post-installation inspection to confirm grout fill and seal integrity
