KCC provides a full design, supply, and installation service for marine mooring systems across Hong Kong and the wider region. Our scope covers the complete mooring assembly — from anchor sinker block and ground chain through to the surface buoy — designed and sized to the vessel's displacement, tidal range, and site-specific current and wave conditions.
KCC works with EVA-polyurea mooring buoys, steel buoys, and HDPE warning buoys, all supplied with solar-powered lanterns where required to meet Hong Kong Marine Department (HKMD) requirements. Mooring hardware — chains, swivels, shackles, and connecting links — is specified to BS EN ISO 4565 and HKMD guidance. All moorings are installed by commercial divers who confirm sinker block placement, chain catenary, and buoy orientation before sign-off.
Compliance: All mooring installations are carried out in accordance with Hong Kong Marine Department requirements. Mooring compliance surveys and condition inspections are available as a follow-on service.

Mooring Inspection & Maintenance
Periodic diver inspection of mooring components — chains, shackles, swivels, sinker blocks, and buoy connections — with replacement of worn or corroded parts.
Mooring Buoy Supply & Fitting
Supply and diver-fitted installation of foam-filled, HDPE, and steel mooring buoys — sized and rated for the intended vessel and site conditions.
